Pedestrian Bridges

Aluminum Truss: PGH Ltd aluminum trusses provide durable solutions for medium sizes spans up to 30m. The relative lightweight of these structures can help reduce the cost of helicopters required to place structures in remote areas. They are also well suited to marine areas where corrosion is a concern. Cedar decking and handrail caps can be utilized to "soften" the look of the structures in wilderness settings. These engineered spans will provide decades of service life for pedestrian traffic and serve to protect the sensitive ecosystems they span. PGH Ltd specializes in work around sensitive aquatic environments and can provide project monitoring by Registered Professional Biologists. We adhere to the stringent measures set out by DFO and other regulatory agencies. PGH Ltd works in conjunction with all stakeholders to ensure the appropriate prescriptions are obtained and implemented.

Steel Spans: Our engineered Steel Spans are an affordable choice for new, or replacement crossings between 6m to 15m span range. Hot dipped galvanized stringers offer a 70-year design life for the main structural components. This fiscally responsible alternative increases structure design life and minimizes maintenance requirements for the owner. As with many of our other structures, minimal site disturbance occurs during installation. Innovative design and construction techniques can ensure no in stream work is necessary during the course of installation. These measures as well as consultation with a Registered Professional Biologist can allow for more flexible installation windows and timely project completion.
